Longest Journey Begins with Single Step . . .

Mirs News (subscription required) reports that the Green Party of Michigan has called on Michigan residents to observe a “Dark Earth Hour” on the third Thursday of each month. “For that one hour each month, businesses and households are being encouraged to turn off all non-essential lights and electric appliances.” 

 

Start small, eh greenies? Just one hour each month at first, but work up from there. Who knows, the way the public policy winds are blowing within 30 years or so the U.S. population may be lucky to enjoy one hour of light each month.
